At today’s press conference, Barack Obama claimed the private sector is doing just fine.

Of course he did. What else would you expect? Especially, that is, since Obama’s whole life experience has been spent with non-profits or in the public sector on the taxpayer dime.

His mother, Stanley Ann Dunham Obama Soetoro, worked as a consultant for the taxpayer-funded United States Agency for Economic Development and the Ford Foundation in Indonesia and the United Nations-affiliated Asian Development Bank in Pakistan.

His birth father, Barack Obama Sr., was educated on the government dime in Hawaii and at Harvard University in Boston and he returned to Kenya to work as a government economist.

His stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, was also educated on his government’s dime in Hawaii and returned to Indonesia to work as a geographer for the government.

His attendance at the exclusive Punahou School, a private college preparatory school, was through the aid of a scholarship. (How he paid for his undergraduate years at Occidental College in California and Columbia College in New York is unknown.)

His first jobs out of Columbia College included Ralph Nader’s non-profit New York Public Interest Research Group in New York City.

His first jobs in Chicago were with two Alinskyite non-profits: the Developing Communities Project and Gamaliel Foundation.

His first job after leaving Harvard Law School was in Illinois with the ACORN-associated non-profit, Project Vote.

His board memberships in Chicago were served with unrepentent domestic terrorist Bill Ayers at three non-profits — the Woods Fund of Chicago, the Joyce Foundation and the Chicago Annenberg Challenge — as well as the boards of non-profits Center for Neighborhood Technology, the Lugenia Burns Hope Center, and Leadership for Quality Education (run by John Ayers, brother to Bill, which, with the help of CAC dollars, he and Bill helped fund).

He was a founding board member of Public Allies and his wife, Michelle, headed the Chicago Public Allies branch. (Not to mention that Michelle Obama’s “jobs” were mostly with non-profits or taxpayer-funded, as well.)

His first taxpayer-funded “job” was in the Illinois State Senate, from which he moved on to his taxpayer-funded “job” in the U.S. Senate, which brings us to his current taxpayer-funded “job” in the White House. (And lest you forget, taxpayers will help to fund his retirement into perpetuity, as well.)

Of course he has no idea about how the private sector operates or how it is doing!
