Update2: 7/20/12: YouTube has restored the Romney campaign web video below.
Update1: 7/16/12: Matt K. Lewis at the Daily Caller reports:
- Mitt Romney’s new web video featured audio of President Obama singing a few lines of Al Green’s, “Let’s Stay Together,” has been pulled down from YouTube via copyright claim of BMG Rights Management.
Ironically, BMG and Crown/Random House (the publisher of both Obama’s books, his campaign plan, and Michelle Obama’s new book) are all owned by German conglomerate Bartlesmann AG, which bills itself as “the world’s most international media company.”
One wonders if an Obama ad featuring the song would have also been pulled down?
