Obama’s ‘other race speech’. Did the ‘real’ Barack Obama finally stand up?

I hoped to open this post with the infamous post-9/11 video clip, “America’s chickens are coming home to roost” by Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama’s pastor of twenty-plus years at Trinity United Church of Christ. It appears, however, that YouTube/Google have sent all of them down the memory hole. Likewise, the Malcolm X “chickens coming home to roost” video clip has been deep-sixed.

Matthew Weaver of No Quarter blog suggests that it is “Obama’s chickens [that] are coming home to roost.”

If only it were so. Barack Obama is beyond teflon-coated and kevlar-vested — thanks in no small part to YouTube/Google efforts in so many ways. Watch the videos on this post quickly before they vaporize before your very eyes.

Last night, while discussing with Tucker Carlson the race-divisive video clips from a June 2007 speech Obama delivered at Hampton University before an all-Black audience, Sean Hannity repeatedly asked — after hearing the difference in cadence, accent, and message delivered by then-candidate Barack Obama — which is the “Real Barack Obama”?

The full 40-minute video is safely posted on Carlson’s Daily Caller website. Of course, several YouTube clips of the speech are not available simply because Obama’s Google friends are lending a helping hand. You can also watch Hannity’s side-by-side comparison of Obama’s 2007 Hampton University speech — before a predominantly Black audience — and 2008 disavowal of Rev. Jeremiah Wright speech — before a mixed race audience — at Breitbart.com.

Also, some good commentary on the contents is here by ABC’s Jake Tapper (who also covered the story on the morning news).

Daniel Greenfield points out Obama was “keeping it real with a Saturday Night Live quality ‘Street’ voice, [complete with] shout outs to Jeremiah Wright for providing him with the material and the fake accent. No wonder Wright was angry about being dumped by Obama. Obama’s entire image, pre-election, was a prolonged imitation of Wright, complete with divisive race-baiting.”

“Disturbing moments,” Greenfield continues. “The crowd cheers September 11. Not anything Obama says, just the very mention of September 11 brings a rousing cheer. This really is the Jeremiah Wright crowd.”

Meanwhile, the Associated Press jumped in to defend the Preezy of the United Steezy. Matthew Vadum tweets that lefty Rachel Maddow’s reaction indicates she’s scared sh*tless: “Right Wants You To Believe He’s ‘Way More Black Than He Seems To You Now’.”

Note that, during the 2008 presidential campaign, there was concern whether Obama was black enough.

Also note that, despite Obama’s exaggerated southern dialect evident on the video tape, last time I checked, that’s not the way people generally talk in Chicago or in Hawaii, at Columbia University or at Harvard unless they come from the South — or are laying it on thick, as they say, playing to the audience.

Ann Coulter observes: “He just turns it on and suddenly we’ve got Malcolm X speaking to us.”

And Erin Haust wonders at Conservative Daily News, “If Obama speaks and no one is listening, what does he sound like?”

How does a man who was born in Hawaii, raised in large part in Indonesia, returns to Hawaii and then proceeds to acquire an ivy league education manage to obtain a southern accent?

The video clearly shows Obama speaking in a dialect and cadence that is patently different from what he sounds like just days later when speaking to media. But a southern preacher’s tone isn’t the only dialect we should question.

According to Obama’s own book, his mother woke him at 4:00 am each day to teach him English before he went to school in Indonesia. (NYT) He spent his formative years, from age 7 to nearly 5th grade in Indonesia. Does he also have an Indonesian accent? If not, why not? If so, why haven’t we heard it?

After receiving his highly elite education at Punahou, the private boarding school in Hawaii, from 5th grade through high school graduation, why doesn’t Obama have a distinctly Hawaiian accent? Is there one?

Finally, after living in Boston while at Harvard, why haven’t we heard him drop a few “r’s” every once in a while? He obviously has a habit of picking up accents to mirror his audience.

The truth seems blatantly obvious. The president is more an actor than he is a leader and will tell his audience what they want to hear. He’ll say it in an accent to which they can relate in order to gain applause. His lies are beginning to bury him. The question now becomes, “will any of this affect the November 6th election?” We’ll know in 33 days.

These are very good questions to my ears, particularly since I have devoted the past 55 months, thousands of articles on three blogs, including one called The Real Barack Obama, massive amounts of research, and three books to that very same question.

Stanley Kurtz, who has also deeply researched Barack Obama, comments: “this tape simply confirms what those who’ve been paying attention should already know: Obama has been deceptive about his past influences and present policies, and will turn on his suburban middle-class supporters the first chance he gets if reelected. But how many voters are paying attention?”

Not nearly enough, I am sure.

I fear that we are still far from knowing the whole truth unless we have just seen the “real” Barack Obama all rolled into one this time: pandering politician; anti-white racist; race divider and race baiter; segregationist; demagogue; Black Liberation Theology true believer; Saul Alinsky-Cloward-Piven agitator/activist; and much more.

As Tucker Carlson remarked on Hannity’s show last night, Barack Obama was “whipping up race hatred and fear.” And continues to, I might add.
